la única forma de calentarme un poco es con la luz acá, y diciéndoles lo que tengo en la cabeza…La arquitectura en el mundo está hasta las huevas porque las escuelas de arquitectura no son creadoras. Las escuelas de arquitectura no hacen sino copiar el exterior, las escuelas de arquitectura dependen del exterior, las escuelas de arquitectura dependen de los gráficos, las escuelas de arquitectura dependen de un mundo mezquino, individualista, espectacular, estúpido! Ya no hay escuelas de arquitectura, ya no hay profesores de arquitectura, ya no hay maestros…Dejémonos de cosas, de chistecitos y de cuentitos. A cada rato, cualquiera que sea la disciplina nos ha quitado una parte de autoridad. A cada rato, cada vez que hay una moda, esa moda nos quita una autoridad. Debido a la moda historicista, la moda sociológica, la moda participacionista, la moda…¿en cual estamos ahora?… los verdes!, los sostenibles!. Estamos en… a cada rato una moda… ¿ahora cual es la moda?... los artistas!. Ya cada vez que hay una moda que determina algo, es un poder que perdemos, es una autoridad que perdemos.Ustedes deben saber que yo he nacido a la arquitectura en los años 50. (Bueno en los años 50 del siglo pasado). Lo que quiero que ustedes sepan, que no pueden olvidar, es que en un mundo que no CREE no puede haber arquitectura!, en un mundo que no DESEA no puede haber arquitectura!, en un mundo que no quiere EMOCIONAR sino con efectos especiales no puede haber arquitectura!, en un mundo que depende de las maquinas para hacer arquitectura no puede haber arquitectura!, en un mundo sin maestros no pueden haber estudiantes, y no pueden haber estudiantes que puedan hacer arquitectura.Señores, reformemos nuestras escuelas!, comencemos por ahí!. ¿Saben ustedes que el Perú tiene 44 facultades de arquitectura… que Francia tiene 23.. y que en Europa no pueden tener cuantas facultades de arquitectura quieran?, porque la arquitectura está, el museo es el país, uno no tiene sino que salir a la calle y ver arquitectura! ¿Que tienen ustedes?…hablemos de los de Huancayo… ¿Quién sabe cómo se llama el arquitecto del edificio rojo de la esquina diagonal con la iglesia? ¿Quién sabe lo que he hecho yo? Antes de venir acá me han pedido 3 veces que les mande un curriculum vitae, cuando ustedes saben que ponen un botoncito y wikipedia les dice mejor que yo todo lo que he hecho.Ustedes no se dan cuenta que ya se acabó, que estamos en las ultimas!, y que este congreso de estudiantes de arquitectura debería ser un congreso de estudiantes de arquitectura! ¿Quién ha ganado el premio virtual, no real, virtual? Alguien que lo han aplaudido horrores (bueno es lógico, todos los patas…) con un titulo sin arquitectura!(el público ríe)Eso no me hace reír! La ironía y la arquitectura no son hermanas! No me hace reír, cojones! No se dan ustedes cuenta que no sirve de nada enseñarles lo que sea, no se dan ustedes cuenta que la arquitectura es algo fundamental para que la humanidad tenga sentido! Un arquitecto es alguien que se levanta en la mañana para mejorar el mundo y nadie le pide que lo haga. Eso es un milagro! Cada uno de ustedes tiene un pequeño milagro adentro y no lo sabe! Cojones!La arquitectura es una cosa SERIA! La arquitectura es lo único que tiene valor hoy en día!, que puede tenerlo! La arquitectura que nosotros hacemos es para cuando el mundo vaya mejor!, para dar una idea de cómo puede ser!Yo siempre soy moderno porque moderno quiere decir una arquitectura para una sociedad, para mejorar la sociedad. La arquitectura no se hace para construir! La arquitectura se hace para vivir mejor! ¿Y qué cosa es vivir mejor? ¿Qué cosa es vivir mejor? Para eso tienen que saber! Para vivir mejor hay que tener valores! Para tener valores hay que tener principios! Cojones!Yo estoy en el Perú porque soy peruano y porque no quiero que el Perú se hunda! El Perú que no tiene protección ni de los políticos en arquitectura… Este país ya no hace edificios públicos!, este país ya no hace vivienda! Este país, cojones!, no hace NADAAA!
